Mill Spring, NC – November 10, 2024 – Winning the final $15,000 Buckley Fence Sunday Grand Prix of the Tryon Fall Series presented by Coca-Cola, Brittni Raflowitz (Palm City, FL) rode Semilly F (Copyright C x Brisa De Ibio), the 2011 Spanish Sport Horse mare owned Ashlee Bond Show Jumping to a double clear effort and a jump off time of 34.51 seconds. Close behind the winning team, John Brown (Mill Spring, NC) and his own Belgian Warmblood gelding Ballon Bleu (Amaretto D Arco x Papilon) took second place, marking 35.59 seconds in the jump off. Aboard Queen Bee Z (Quincy Car x Can Get You), Ragan Roberts (Roanoke, VA) rode her own 2016 warmblood mare to a 39.04 second jump off, incurring four faults, to complete the top three.

Aida Sanchez Conquers $1,500 USHJA National Hunter Derby Presented by AP Hassinger 

November 9, 2024 – Aida Sanchez (Signal Mountain, TN) bested a field of 20 in Saturday’s $1,500 USHJA National Hunter Derby Presented by AP Hassinger, winning aboard Eva Quarfordt’s Liberator WS (Harley x Hortensia VDL). Sanchez and the 2016 Dutch Warmblood gelding secured the victory with 173 points on the board. Megan Rosenthal (Charlotte, NC) claimed reserve honors in the derby with a score of 160, riding the 2014 Irish Sporthorse gelding, Castlebridge Oden (Orestus x Bella Donna Van De Zuuthoeve) for Olivia Farris. Earning 159 points for third place, Lucy Rabb (Fort Mill, SC) teamed up with her own Herkules (Corrinaro x Unica IV), the 2018 Oldenburg gelding.

$5,000 ProElite Welcome Stake Champs: Ricardo Villa and Curioso Van Maarle Z

November 8, 2024 – Friday’s $5,000 ProElite Welcome Stake saw Ricardo Villa (Campobello, SC) and his own 2016 Zangersheide gelding, Curioso Van Maarle Z (Canabis Z x Katina VD Holstenhoeve Z) at the top of the podium, marking a clear round in the jump off with 38.64 seconds on the clock. Aida Sanchez (Signal Mountain, TN) and her own Mayla (Mylord Carthago x N-Kalinka), the 2016 Holsteiner mare, slotted into second place, with a 39.69 second jump off effort. With one rail down and recording 33.40 seconds in the jump off, John Brown (Mill Spring, NC) and his own Belgian Warmblood gelding Ballon Bleu (Amaretto D Arco x Papilon), finished in third.
